We conducted research into career enjoyment with 17,000 people already in a job. It revealed three main factors that make a career enjoyable:
- The degree of match between your unique personality profile (not your personality type) and the unique job profile. The graph shows that a closer match between personality and job profile results in a more enjoyable career.
- The nature of the job itself. Some jobs are inherently more enjoyable than others, irrespective of personality preferences.
- Other factors, such as the quality of training or management provided by the employer.
The career pages, below, provide more information about each career - including what people in the job liked or disliked about it, how well they scored it for enjoyment, and the personality profile that is ideally suited to the job.
