Peter Such is an international sportsman who has competed and coached at the highest levels. He is now applying his coaching philosophy and associated skills to help businesses and individuals improve their own performance.
Peter's coaching philosophy is based on two pillars:
- His experience as an elite sportsman
- His track record as an elite coach
Elite Sportsman
Peter Such's achievements as a spin bowler include:
- Full England International Cricketer from 1993 to 1999
- Took 6 wickets for only 67 runs on his international debut
- Averaged 33.56 with an economy of 2.38 (at the time of writing, better than current England spin bowler Ashley Giles' record of 39.60/2.84)
20 years of First Class Cricket for 3 Counties

Elite Coach
Peter's record as a coach includes:
- Architect and Director of the Essex County Cricket Club Academy, which within 3 years produced:
- the first ever County Academy England Cricketer in Alastair Cook, and
- 5 other County First Class Cricketers
- Lead tutor on the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) Level IV elite coaching programme
Specialist coach for the England Under 17 and Under 19 Squads
The picture (immediate right) shows Alastair Cook, the first protege of the Academy set up by Peter Such. When Alastair played for England for the first time:
- He was only 21
- He was called in to replace the injured batsman, Michael Vaughn
- He scored a test century in his debut, the 4th-youngest player ever to do so for England
- Soon afterwards, he was appointed to be a member of the elite England Development Squad.
Business Applications
Peter left the Essex Academy in 2005 to work with a Global Outsourcing Company, but has now turned his attention to applying elite sports coaching skills to business environments. He already has solid experience in business training and individual coaching which make Peter's unique blend of skills of great value to any organisation wishing to improve their individual and collective performance.
