Simulation of Feeling

Drawing some nodes closer, letting others fall further away

In this model (which includes a small amount of intuition, to create new nodes for Feeling to work with), the nodes move nearer or further away (larger ones are closer, smaller ones are further away).

This represents feeling as establishing a value for each entity, and then either making it occupy a greater amount of attention, or letting it fall away (or even pushing it away) from the centre of attention. The entities are organised according to their relative proximity to the individual - the more valued ones are closer/bigger, the less valued ones are pushed away/smaller.

"Feeling is primarily a process that takes place between the ego and a given content, a process, moreover that imparts to the content a definite value in the sense of acceptance or rejection" (C G Jung, Psychological Types, p434)
