This page lists possible ENFJ careers: professional occupations that may be most suited to those with ENFJ preferences.
There are two lists, both of which are based on our own research that identifies careers where ENFJ's preferred team roles (or "dominant and auxiliary functions" in Jung/Myers Briggs terminology) are used extensively.
For more information about the lists, see our careers list information page.
The mandala (below right) represents where the preferences of ENFJ lie, based on the MTR-i team roles. For a full explanation, see our mandala page.
List No 1
The careers that, in our research, made most use of ENFJ's preferred function include:
List No 2
| Occupations where the ENFJ's dominant function (Fe) (calculated using "selection ratio") | Occupations where the ENFJ's auxiliary function (Ni) (calculated using "selection ratio") |
|
Human Resources Teacher Engineer Scientist/biologist/ physicist/chemist Assistant Accountant/auditor/ banker/economist Careers/occupational advice/therapy Computer specialist Consultant Artist/actor Senior Manager Manager Trainer Project manager |
Clergy/church worker Secretary Technical specialist Librarian Sales Accountant/auditor/ banker/economist Homemaker Nurse Administrator Teacher Assistant Writer/editor Professor/academic/lecturer Psychologist |
The careers highlighted in bold, above, appear in both lists. It is possible, therefore, that those occupations have a closer fit to those with ENFJ preferences (matching both dominant and auxiliary functions, and not just one).
The jobs/occupations using both dominant and auxiliary functions are:
- Teacher
- Assistant
- Accountant/auditor/banker/economist
