It’s extremely quiet at the moment, the amount of work that I have to do probably takes up about 20 mins out of my 8 hour day - this is a dislike, as I feel bored and not much use to anyone. I dislike the high level of politics involved with my position. I administer economic development programs that are the result of legislation passed by politicians with very little to no knowledge of economics. I have to implement programs that I feel are poorly designed and do not address long-term concerns. They seem more like short-term political games. I am passionate about economic development, but the politics makes it so that I cannot make the kind of difference that I feel could and needs to be made.
